The core Cinder process appears in more than one guide, although none identifies a specific game build.
What You Need Before Moving Lava
Prepare both the source and destination before disturbing the Lava chamber.
- Snow or Ice to cool the Lava
- A Cryoblaster as a practical way to apply Snow
- A tool that can break Scoria
- A Grabber or Vacuum to collect Cinder
- Solid transport such as Belts or Launchers
- A sealed destination chamber
- A Flamethrower to restore Lava
No exact unlock costs, required Factory Level, or standard chamber size are confirmed.
The Lava Transport Setup
Source Side
Prepare Snow or a Cryoblaster before opening the Lava area. Cool Lava into Scoria, then break it into collectible Cinder.
Transport Line
Move solid Cinder with a Grabber, Vacuum, Conveyor Belts, Launchers, or Drones. Filter unrelated materials out.
Destination Side
Seal the destination chamber before converting Cinder. Use direct Flamethrower flame for the documented setup.
How to Move Lava Step by Step
- 01
Find the Lava and assess the area
Check where it can flow before opening the chamber.
- 02
Apply Snow or Ice
Keep cooling any flowing or dripping Lava until it solidifies.
- 03
Break the Scoria
Use a weapon, Rocket, Shovel, or another suitable tool. Broken Scoria drops Cinder.
- 04
Collect the Cinder
Use a Grabber or Vacuum to pick it up.
- 05
Move the Cinder to the destination
Carry it directly or use Belts, Launchers, or other solid transport.
- 06
Place Cinder in a sealed chamber
Filter Snow and unrelated materials before they reach the conversion area.
- 07
Ignite Cinder with the Flamethrower
The Cinder should change back into liquid Lava.
- 08
Check the final containment
Confirm that Lava is present and not leaking into adjacent systems.
How the Cinder Method Works
Raw Lava falls and spreads, and it is excluded from the normal Pump, Pipe, and Liquid Vent system. Cooling changes the transport problem: Scoria breaks into Cinder, which can enter solid logistics.
You can move Cinder with several tools, but the underlying Lava-transport process remains the same.
How to Store Lava After Moving It
The simplest approach is to store Cinder and convert only what you need.
- Keep the chamber sides fully sealed.
- Filter Sand, Residue, Snow, and other unwanted material.
- Leave room to feed Cinder in and remove material.
- Keep visible Cinder as a reserve.
Separate Cinder and liquid-Lava storage may be easier as a factory grows, but no standard size or blueprint is confirmed.
Why Your Lava Setup Is Not Working
You Are Trying to Move Raw Lava
Do not use a Belt or the normal Pump-and-Pipe system. Convert Lava into Cinder first.
The Lava Has Not Fully Solidified
Flowing or dripping Lava may need more Snow before it becomes Scoria.
The Cinder Does Not Turn Back into Lava
Use direct Flamethrower flame. Passive heat is not used for this documented conversion.
The Chamber Leaks
Check every edge before igniting Cinder. One missing wall pixel can release Lava.
Snow or Ice Is Clogging the Line
Filter Snow out before it can mix with Water and form Ice in Belts or tanks.
The Chamber Is Overloaded
Feed Cinder in smaller amounts or provide more contained space.
